High-purity gas and fluid tubing systems are at the heart of high-tech manufacturing facilities. Ultra-cleanliness, smoothness and, of course, leak integrity are crucial, when welding these systems. Our highly skilled and qualified welders secure the highest standards in orbital and manual welding.
Using closed weld heads, we weld systems ranging in diameter from 1/8”to 6”. When welding, we closely control the TIG welding process parameters, such as current (heat input), purging gas and arc travel speed.
We use orbital welding for:
- repeatable welds and reproducible welding processes
- distortion-free consistent weld quality
- increased productivity, further enhanced by using cobots for repetitive work
Complex connections are welded manually. Our welders are qualified International Welding Practitioners and hold the relevant welding certificates. They specialise in welding electropolished stainless steel and alloys such as Inconel and Hastelloy under clean room conditions. And they ensure that welding operations are carried out safely, and comply with standards and regulations.
Testing and documentation
In the high-purity industry, traceability is crucial. Which is why we carefully document every step in the welding and testing process. Before production, test welds are made and inspected to ensure the parameters are correct. After production, all the welds are also carefully inspected. Visual inspections include endoscopy and, if necessary, we also conduct X-ray testing.
